How to Use the Visceral Fat Calculator
This calculator estimates your visceral fat level using body measurements and the US Navy body fat formula, adjusted for age. Follow these steps:
- Select your gender – Choose Male or Female from the dropdown.
- Enter your measurements (all in centimeters, cm):
- Waist circumference – measure around your natural waist.
- Height – your total height.
- Age – in years (whole number).
- Neck circumference – measure just below the Adam’s apple.
- Hip circumference – required only for females; measure at the widest part.
- Click “Calculate Visceral Fat” – the result will appear below.
Understanding your result: The output is a level from 1 to 15. Levels 1–5 are healthy, 6–10 indicate excess, and above 10 is high risk. The calculation uses your body fat percentage (from the US Navy formula) plus an age adjustment for those 40 and older.
Note: All inputs must be positive numbers. Use metric units (cm) only.
