How to use this tool?
This calculator estimates your daily calorie target for weight loss using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation. Follow these steps:
- Enter your age (10–120 years), weight (20–500 kg), and height (50–250 cm). All inputs are in metric units (kg and cm).
- Select your gender (Male or Female).
- Choose your activity level from the dropdown (Sedentary to Extra active).
- Pick your weight loss goal (0.5 to 2 lb per week). The calculator subtracts 500 calories per pound of weekly loss.
- Click “Calculate”. Your daily calorie target appears below.
Important: If the result is below 1,200 calories, an error warns you to adjust your goal. Always consult a professional before extreme diets.

A deficit of 500-1000 calories per day is generally considered safe, leading to 1-2 pounds of weight loss per week. Avoid going below 1200 calories per day for women and 1500 for men without medical supervision.
