How to Use the Treadmill Pace Calculator
- Enter Speed – Type your treadmill speed (e.g., 6.0). Use a positive number.
- Choose Unit – Select mph (miles per hour) or kph (kilometers per hour).
- Enter Weight – Input your body weight in kilograms (e.g., 70).
- Enter Duration – Input your workout time in minutes (e.g., 30).
- Click "Calculate" – Your results appear below:
- Pace – Time per mile or kilometer (e.g., 10:00 min/mile). Both units are shown.
- Calories Burned – Estimated total calories (based on METs, weight, and time).
- METs – Metabolic equivalent (assumes 0% incline).
Note: All inputs must be positive numbers. Use metric (kg) for weight; speed can be in mph or kph.

Frequently Asked Questions
Pace (minutes per mile) = 60 / speed (mph). For kilometers, pace (min/km) = 60 / speed (kph).
Calories = METs × weight (kg) × duration (hours). METs are estimated from speed using the ACSM equation: 1.0 + 0.1 × speed_mph (assuming 0% grade).
METs = 1.0 + 0.1 × speed_mph + 1.8 × speed_mph × grade (grade assumed 0% on treadmill).
