Frequently Asked Questions
A bowling game has 10 frames. In frames 1–9, a strike (knocking all 10 pins on the first roll) scores 10 plus the next two rolls. A spare (knocking all remaining pins on the second roll) scores 10 plus the next roll. An open frame scores the sum of both rolls. Frame 10 gives bonus rolls for strikes or spares. The maximum score is 300.
In the 10th frame, if you roll a strike or a spare, you earn extra rolls. A strike lets you roll two more times; a spare lets you roll once more. This calculator automatically enables the third input when needed.
A strike (10 pins on first roll) highlights the first roll box green and skips the second roll. A spare (pins cleared in two rolls) highlights the second roll box yellow. Open frames highlight red.
