How to use this tool?
This calculator helps you find the total nutritional content of a recipe based on the ingredients and their quantities. All values must be entered in metric units (grams for weight, kcal per 100g for energy, and grams per 100g for macronutrients).
- Add ingredients – Click the "Add Ingredient" button to add rows for each ingredient in your recipe.
- Fill in each row:
- Ingredient Name – A descriptive name (e.g., "Chicken breast").
- Quantity (g) – The weight of the ingredient used in the recipe, in grams.
- Calories (kcal/100g) – Energy per 100g of the ingredient.
- Protein (g/100g) – Protein per 100g.
- Carbs (g/100g) – Carbohydrates per 100g.
- Fat (g/100g) – Fat per 100g.
- Remove ingredients – Click the trash icon on any row to delete it.
- Calculate – Click the "Calculate" button. If any required field is missing or invalid, an error message will appear.
- Read the results – The calculator shows:
- Total nutrition for the entire recipe (calories, protein, carbs, fat).
- Per 100g of recipe – The nutritional density of the final dish.
Tip: Use nutritional values from food labels or reliable databases. All inputs must be non-negative numbers; quantity must be greater than zero.
