How to use this tool?

This calculator sums the macronutrients for up to 10 ingredients in a keto meal. It calculates net carbs, total protein, total fat, and total calories.

  1. Add ingredients: For each ingredient, enter its name (optional), protein (g), fat (g), total carbs (g), and fiber (g). Use the Add Ingredient button to include more rows (max 10).
  2. Remove ingredients: Click the trash icon on any row to delete it. At least one ingredient must remain.
  3. Calculate: Click the Calculate Macros button. The results show total net carbs, protein, fat, and calories for the entire meal.
  4. Understand the formulas:
    • Net Carbs = Total Carbs − Fiber (per ingredient)
    • Calories = (Net Carbs × 4) + (Protein × 4) + (Fat × 9)
    • All values are summed across all ingredients.
  5. Validation: Fiber cannot exceed total carbs for any ingredient. Negative values are not allowed. Errors are displayed in red.

Note: All values are in grams (g) and kilocalories (kcal). No unit conversion is needed—use the same metric system throughout.

Frequently Asked Questions

Net carbs are the total carbohydrates minus fiber. Since fiber is not digested, it doesn't count toward your daily carb limit on keto.

You can add up to 10 ingredients. Click 'Add Ingredient' to include more.

Calories are calculated as: (Net Carbs * 4) + (Protein * 4) + (Fat * 9). This is based on the standard macronutrient energy values.
