How to Use the Concrete Yard Calculator
- Select Shape: Choose Slab, Footing, or Column from the dropdown. The relevant input fields will appear.
- Enter Dimensions (in feet and inches):
- Slab/Footing: Enter Length and Width in feet, and Depth in inches.
- Column: Enter Diameter and Height in feet.
- Choose Bag Size: Select the concrete bag weight (40 lb, 60 lb, or 80 lb).
- Calculate: Click the Calculate button. The results show:
- Cubic Yards — total volume needed.
- Estimated Bags — number of bags required (rounded up).
All inputs must be positive numbers. Depth is in inches; all other dimensions are in feet. The calculator uses standard bag yields (40 lb = 0.3 ft³, 60 lb = 0.45 ft³, 80 lb = 0.6 ft³).
