How to Use the Concrete Price Calculator
This calculator estimates the total cost of concrete for a slab based on its dimensions, mix type, waste, and price per cubic yard. All inputs use imperial units (feet and inches).
- Enter Dimensions: Input the slab’s Length (ft), Width (ft), and Depth (in). Depth must be in inches.
- Select Mix Type: Choose from Standard (1:2:3), High Strength (1:1.5:2), or Lightweight. This affects the material ratio but not the cost calculation directly.
- Set Price & Waste: Enter the Price per cubic yard ($) and the Waste percentage (default 10%). Waste accounts for spillage or overage.
- Calculate: Click the Calculate button. The result shows the total cost, volume (cubic yards), and waste percentage.
Formula: Volume = (L × W × D/12) / 27, then multiply by (1 + waste/100), then by price per cubic yard.
All fields must be positive numbers. Depth and waste accept decimals (e.g., 4.5 inches, 10.5% waste).

Frequently Asked Questions
Multiply length (ft) by width (ft) by depth (in) divided by 12 to get cubic feet, then divide by 27 to get cubic yards.
The standard mix ratio is 1 part cement, 2 parts sand, and 3 parts aggregate (1:2:3).
Waste accounts for spillage, over-excavation, and slight variations in dimensions. Typically 5-10% is recommended.
