How to use this tool?
This calculator computes your weighted average grade. Follow these steps:
- Enter component details: For each row, type a Component Name (e.g., Homework), a Grade (0–100), and a Weight (0–100%).
- Add or remove rows: Click Add Component to include more items, or the trash icon to delete a row. At least one component is required.
- Ensure weights sum to 100%: The total of all weight values must equal exactly 100%. The calculator will warn you if it doesn’t.
- Calculate: Click Calculate to see your weighted average, the formula, and a step-by-step breakdown.
- Reset: Use Reset to clear all inputs and start over.
Note: Grades and weights must be numbers between 0 and 100. The result shows your final weighted percentage.
