How to Use the AB Calc Score Calculator
- Enter Multiple Choice (MC) Scores: Input the number of correct and incorrect answers (0–45 each). The total correct + incorrect cannot exceed 45.
- Enter Free Response (FRQ) Scores: For each of the 6 free-response questions, enter a score from 0 to 9.
- Calculate: Click the Calculate Score button.
- Interpret Results:
- Composite Score = MC Score (correct − 0.25 × incorrect) + total FRQ points.
- AP Score (1–5) is determined by the composite:
- ≥70 → 5
- 60–69 → 4
- 50–59 → 3
- 40–49 → 2
- <40 → 1
- Validation: All inputs must be within their allowed ranges. Errors will appear if values are invalid.
Tip: Use whole numbers only. The MC penalty is a quarter point per incorrect answer.
