How to Use the Timesheet Calculator With Lunch
- Enter Start and End Times: Use the time inputs (HH:MM format) for your work shift. If your shift crosses midnight (e.g., starts at 22:00 and ends at 06:00), the calculator automatically adds 24 hours.
- Enter Lunch Break: Provide the start and end times of your unpaid lunch break. The calculator subtracts this from your total work duration.
- Set Pay Rates:
- Hourly Rate ($): Your standard pay per hour.
- Overtime Multiplier: The rate for overtime hours (e.g., 1.5 for time-and-a-half). Must be at least 1.
- Regular Hours per Day: The number of hours before overtime kicks in (default 8).
- Click "Calculate": The results show total hours worked, regular and overtime hours, and gross pay. A breakdown explains the math.
Note: All times are in 24-hour format. Lunch must be shorter than the total work duration. If errors appear, check your inputs.
