How to use the Google Review Calculator
- Enter review counts – In each field, type the number of reviews you have for that star rating (5-star, 4-star, etc.). Use only non-negative whole numbers (e.g., 0, 1, 15).
- Click "Calculate Average Rating" – The button will compute the average rating based on the formula: (5×5★ + 4×4★ + 3×3★ + 2×2★ + 1×1★) ÷ total reviews.
- View your result – The average rating (rounded to one decimal) and total number of reviews appear in a green box. If you see a red error message, check that all fields contain valid numbers and that total reviews are greater than zero.
Tip: Leave empty fields as 0 if you have no reviews for that star level.

The average rating is calculated as the weighted average: (5 × number of 5-star reviews + 4 × number of 4-star reviews + 3 × number of 3-star reviews + 2 × number of 2-star reviews + 1 × number of 1-star reviews) divided by the total number of reviews.
No, the number of reviews must be whole numbers (integers). Decimal values will be treated as invalid.
If the total number of reviews is zero, the calculator will show an error message because division by zero is not possible.
