How to use this tool?
How to use the Overworld ↔ Nether Converter
- Enter exactly one pair of coordinates — either both Overworld X and Z fields, or both Nether X and Z fields. Leave the other pair empty.
- Click “Convert” to calculate the equivalent coordinates in the other dimension.
- Read the result displayed in green, along with a brief explanation of the formula used.
Key rule: Overworld coordinates are divided by 8 (rounded down) to get Nether coordinates. Nether coordinates are multiplied by 8 to get Overworld coordinates. Only the X and Z axes are converted; Y (height) is ignored.
Tip: Use any decimal numbers (e.g., 100.5) — the calculator will round down for Nether results.
