How to use this tool?
This calculator converts coordinates between the Overworld and the Nether using the standard 1:8 ratio.
- Enter coordinates in the Overworld fields (X, Z required; Y optional) or the Nether fields (X, Z required; Y optional).
- Click Overworld → Nether to divide Overworld X, Z, and Y by 8 (flooring the result).
- Click Nether → Overworld to multiply Nether X, Z, and Y by 8.
- The result appears below with the formula explanation. If Y is left empty, it is omitted from the calculation.
Tip: Use any numeric values (including decimals). The calculator automatically rounds down for Nether conversions.

In Minecraft, moving 1 block in the Nether is equivalent to moving 8 blocks in the Overworld. This calculator divides Overworld coordinates by 8 to get Nether coordinates, and multiplies Nether coordinates by 8 to get Overworld coordinates.
Y coordinates are optional. The conversion ratio applies to X and Z only, but if you provide Y, it will also be converted using the same 1:8 ratio.
The conversion uses integer division (floor) for Nether coordinates to match Minecraft's portal linking behavior. Overworld coordinates are exact multiples.
