How to Use the Material Calculator
- Select a material type from the dropdown (e.g., Steel, Aluminum) to auto-fill its density. Choose "Custom" to enter your own density.
- Enter the density (in kg/m³) if using Custom mode. Preset materials fill this automatically.
- Input dimensions in meters: Length, Width, and Height. All values must be non-negative numbers.
- Enter the price per kg in dollars (optional; set to 0 if not needed).
- Click "Calculate" to see results: Volume (m³), Weight (kg), and Total Cost ($).
Note: All measurements must be in metric units (meters, kg/m³). The calculator uses: Volume = Length × Width × Height; Weight = Volume × Density; Cost = Weight × Price per kg.
