How to Use the LSAC GPA Calculator
This tool calculates your GPA using the LSAC 4.0 scale. Follow these steps:
- Add courses – Click Add Course for each class. Each row includes fields for course name (optional), credits, and grade.
- Enter credits – Use numbers (e.g., 3, 1.5). Must be positive. Half credits are allowed.
- Select grade – Choose from A+ (4.0) down to F (0.0). The grade points are pre-assigned per LSAC standards.
- Remove courses – Click the trash icon to delete a row. At least one course must remain.
- Calculate – Press Calculate LSAC GPA. The result shows your GPA rounded to two decimals.
- Review breakdown – Below the GPA, see the formula: sum of (credits × grade points) divided by total credits.
Note: All grades use the standard LSAC scale (A+ = A = 4.0, A- = 3.7, etc.). No plus/minus beyond those listed.
