Frequently Asked Questions
GPA is calculated by dividing total quality points by total credit hours. Each letter grade corresponds to a point value (A=4.0, A-=3.7, B+=3.3, B=3.0, B-=2.7, C+=2.3, C=2.0, C-=1.7, D+=1.3, D=1.0, F=0.0). Multiply each course's grade points by its credits, sum them, then divide by total credits.
Yes, Georgia State University uses plus/minus grading for most courses. The calculator includes all standard plus/minus grades (A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-, D+, D, F).
You can use the calculator multiple times or combine courses manually. For a full semester GPA, enter all courses; for cumulative GPA, enter all courses taken so far. The calculator supports up to 10 courses at once.
