How to use this tool?
This calculator computes your final grade based on weighted scores for multiple items. Follow these steps:
- Set the number of items (1–20) using the "Number of Graded Items" field. The form updates automatically.
- For each item, enter:
- Name (optional, e.g., "Exam 1")
- Score as a percentage (0–100)
- Weight as a percentage (0–100) – the relative importance of the item
- Click "Calculate Grade". The final grade appears as a percentage and a letter grade (A–F).
How it works: Each score is multiplied by its weight, summed, then divided by the total weight. Example: Score1 × Weight1 + Score2 × Weight2 + ... ÷ Total Weight.
Note: All scores and weights must be between 0 and 100. Total weight cannot be zero. The breakdown shows each step.
