FOV is calculated using the formula: FOV = 2 * arctan( sensor_dimension / (2 * focal_length) ), where sensor_dimension is the width, height, or diagonal of the sensor.
Sensor dimensions and focal length are in millimeters. Distance is in meters. FOV is output in degrees and the linear width at the subject distance in meters.
