This calculator estimates the number of drywall panels needed for a rectangular room. All measurements must be in feet.
- Enter room dimensions: Input the room's Length, Width, and Height in feet.
- Set panel size: Default panel is 4 ft x 8 ft. Adjust Panel Width and Panel Height if using different sizes.
- Add waste percentage: Enter a Waste percentage (default 10%) to account for cuts and mistakes.
- Calculate: Click Calculate Panels.
- Review results: The output shows:
- Total Wall Area – area of all walls (2 × (L+W) × H).
- Panel Area – area of one panel.
- Panels Needed (before waste) – rounded up.
- Panels Needed (with waste) – final count including waste.
Tip: All inputs must be positive numbers. Waste can be 0% if no extra material is needed.
