Frequently Asked Questions
A bowling handicap is a system that allows bowlers of different skill levels to compete fairly. It is calculated based on the difference between a base average and your average, multiplied by a percentage.
The formula is: (Base Average - Your Average) × (Handicap Percentage / 100). For example, if base average is 200, your average is 150, and percentage is 90%, your handicap is (200-150)×0.9 = 45.
Common league settings use a base average of 200 and a handicap percentage of 90%. However, these can vary by league rules.
