How to Use the OSRS XP Calculator
- Enter your Current Level (1–99). This is required.
- Enter your Target Level (2–99). Must be higher than your current level unless you provide XP to add.
- Optional: Override Current XP – If you know your exact XP, enter it here. It will replace the XP calculated from your level.
- Optional: XP to Add – Enter a specific amount of XP (e.g., 10000) to see what level you’ll reach after gaining that XP. Leave blank to calculate how much XP is needed to reach your target level.
- Click Calculate.
- If you entered XP to Add: Shows your new level and total XP after adding that amount.
- If you left XP to Add blank: Shows the exact XP needed to go from your current level (or custom XP) to the target level.

Frequently Asked Questions
Experience per level follows the formula: XP for level L = sum from i=1 to L-1 of floor(i + 300 * 2^(i/7)) / 4. This calculator uses that exact formula.
Yes, the experience formula is the same for all skills in Old School RuneScape.
If you provide current XP, it overrides the current level. If you provide XP to add, it calculates the new level after adding that XP.
