How to Use the USSSA Age Calculator
- Enter Birth Date: Click the Birth Date field and select your date of birth from the calendar picker.
- Enter Event Date: The Event Date field defaults to January 1, 2025. Change it to the date of the USSSA event you’re calculating for.
- Calculate: Click the Calculate Age button. The calculator will instantly show your USSSA age in years.
- Read the Result: Your age appears in large bold text. Below it, you’ll see the birth and event dates you entered, plus a brief explanation of the calculation method.
Important: Both dates must be in YYYY-MM-DD format (the date picker handles this automatically). The birth date must be before the event date, or an error will appear. The result is your age on the event date, adjusted per USSSA rules (if your birthday hasn’t occurred yet in the event year, one year is subtracted).

USSSA age is used for player eligibility in USSSA tournaments. It is based on the player's age as of December 31 of the current year, but the calculation uses the event date to determine the age at the time of the event.
Subtract the birth year from the event year. If the birthday (month/day) occurs after the event date in the calendar year, subtract one year.
