How to use this tool?
Step 1: Choose the shape – Select Rectangle or Circle from the dropdown.
Step 2: Enter dimensions – For a rectangle, input Length and Width in feet. For a circle, input the Radius in the Length field (Width is ignored).
Step 3: Set depth – Enter the desired Depth in inches (e.g., 3 for 3 inches).
Step 4: Adjust coverage – The default is 0.75 cubic feet per bag. Change this if your top soil bags have a different volume.
Step 5: Click “Calculate” – The tool shows total volume in cubic feet and the number of bags needed (rounded up). The formula used is displayed below the results.
Note: All measurements must be positive numbers. Use decimal values for partial feet or inches (e.g., 10.5 ft).
