How to Use the Silver Calculator
- Enter the weight of your silver item in the Weight field. Choose the unit from the dropdown: grams (g), ounces (oz), kilograms (kg), or pounds (lb).
- Set the purity as a percentage in the Purity field (e.g., 92.5% for sterling silver). The default is 92.5%.
- Input the current market price per troy ounce in the Market Price field (e.g., $25.00).
- Click the Calculate button. The result shows the total value of your silver based on its pure silver content.
- Below the result, a breakdown displays the weight in troy ounces, pure silver ounces, and the formula used.
Note: The calculator automatically converts your weight to troy ounces (1 troy oz = 31.1035 g). Ensure all inputs are positive numbers.
