This calculator helps you determine the quantity and cost to refill a container (ink/toner, propane, or liquid) based on its capacity, current level, cost per unit, and waste factor.
- Select Refill Type – Choose Ink/Toner, Propane, or Liquid (generic). Units adjust automatically (ml for ink/liquid, lbs for propane).
- Enter Container Capacity – Input the total capacity (e.g., 100 ml or 20 lbs). Must be a positive number.
- Enter Current Level – Input the amount remaining (e.g., 20 ml). Must be between 0 and the capacity.
- Enter Cost per Unit – Input the price per unit (e.g., $0.50 per ml/lb). Use a positive number or zero.
- Enter Waste Factor (%) – Input a percentage (0–100) to account for spillage or overfill (default is 10%).
- Click "Calculate" – The result shows the refill quantity and total cost. Errors appear if inputs are invalid.
Formula: Refill Quantity = (Capacity – Current) × (1 + Waste/100). Cost = Refill Quantity × Cost per Unit.
All inputs accept decimal values. Use consistent units (metric or imperial) as indicated.
