How to Use the Productivity Calculator
- Enter Tasks Planned — Type the total number of tasks you planned to complete (e.g., 10). Must be a non-negative whole number.
- Enter Tasks Completed — Type the number of tasks you actually finished (e.g., 8). Must also be a non-negative whole number.
- Click "Calculate Productivity" — The calculator will validate your inputs and show your result.
Understanding the Result
- Productivity (%) = (Completed ÷ Planned) × 100
- ≥100% — Perfect or exceeded expectations (if completed > planned, it shows ">100%").
- 80–99% — Great productivity.
- 50–79% — Moderate, room for improvement.
- <50% — Low productivity, consider workflow changes.
- If Planned = 0 — Result shows "N/A" because division by zero is undefined.
No special units needed — just count tasks. The calculator handles edge cases automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions
Productivity is calculated as (Tasks Completed / Tasks Planned) × 100. For example, if you planned 10 tasks and completed 8, your productivity is 80%.
The calculator will show a productivity greater than 100% and a special message acknowledging you exceeded your plan.
If no tasks are planned, productivity cannot be calculated, and the result will display 'N/A' with an explanation.
