How to Use the PC Power Supply Calculator
Follow these steps to estimate the recommended PSU wattage for your PC build.
- Enter CPU TDP (W): Input the Thermal Design Power of your processor (e.g., 65W for a typical CPU).
- Enter GPU TDP (W): Input the TDP of your graphics card (e.g., 150W for a mid-range GPU).
- Specify other components: Fill in the number of RAM sticks, storage drives, case fans, and USB devices you plan to use. Default values are provided but adjust as needed.
- Click "Calculate": Press the button to compute the total power draw and recommended PSU wattage.
Output: The calculator shows a recommended wattage (rounded up to the nearest 50W with 20% headroom) and a detailed breakdown of each component's power consumption.
All values must be non-negative numbers. Use watts (W) for CPU and GPU TDP; other components use fixed per-unit estimates (RAM: 3W/stick, Storage: 8W/drive, Fans: 2W/fan, USB: 2.5W/device).

Frequently Asked Questions
It sums the power draw of each component (CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, fans, USB devices) and adds 20% headroom, then rounds up to the nearest 50W.
This calculator assumes a single GPU. For multiple GPUs, add the TDP of each GPU to the GPU field as a total.
It provides a good estimate, but actual power draw may vary. Always choose a PSU with enough headroom and consider future upgrades.
