How to Use the Overall GPA Calculator

1. Select a Grade Scale – Choose from 4.0 Scale (e.g., 3.5), Percentage (e.g., 85), or Letter Grades (e.g., A, B+). The grade input placeholder will update accordingly.
2. Add Courses – Click Add Course to include each course. For each course, enter:
   • Course Name (optional label)
   • Credits – Positive number (e.g., 3, 1.5). Use decimals for half credits.
   • Grade – Enter a value matching your selected scale (e.g., 3.7 for 4.0 scale, 88 for percentage, or B- for letter).
3. Remove Courses – Click the trash icon next to any course to delete it.
4. Calculate GPA – Click the Calculate GPA button. Your overall GPA will display along with total credits and quality points.
5. Check for Errors – If any input is invalid (e.g., empty grade, non-positive credits), a red error message will guide you to fix it.

Tip: Ensure grades match the selected scale exactly (e.g., use “A-” not “A minus”). The calculator supports standard letter grades (A, A-, B+, etc.) and percentage ranges (90–100 = A, 80–89 = B, etc.).
