How to use this tool?
This calculator has two main functions. Use the one that matches your goal.
1. Find Aspect Ratio from Width & Height
- Enter the Width (px) and Height (px) of your image.
- Click Calculate Ratio.
- The result shows the simplified aspect ratio (e.g., 16:9).
2. Find Missing Dimension from a Known Ratio
- Enter the Aspect Ratio (e.g., 16 for width, 9 for height).
- Choose whether you know the Width or Height.
- Enter the known Value (px).
- Click Calculate Dimension to get the missing measurement.
Note: All values must be positive numbers (pixels). The calculator automatically simplifies ratios using the greatest common divisor.

Frequently Asked Questions
An aspect ratio is the proportional relationship between the width and height of an image, expressed as two numbers separated by a colon (e.g., 16:9).
Enter the width and height in pixels, then click 'Calculate Ratio'. The tool will display the simplified aspect ratio.
Enter the desired aspect ratio (e.g., 16:9), select whether you know the width or height, enter its value, and click 'Calculate Dimension' to get the missing dimension.
Yes, but the aspect ratio simplification works best with integers. For decimal inputs, the simplified ratio may be shown with decimals.
