How to use this tool?
How to use the Divine Ratio Calculator:
- Enter a number (A): Type any positive number into the Number (A) field. This is your starting value.
- Choose the ratio type: Select one of the two options:
- A is larger (find smaller): Use this if your number is the larger part of the golden ratio. The calculator will find the smaller counterpart (B = A / φ).
- A is smaller (find larger): Use this if your number is the smaller part. The calculator will find the larger counterpart (B = A × φ).
- Calculate: Click the Calculate button or press Enter on your keyboard.
- Read the result: The result (B) will appear in a green box, along with the formula used. The golden ratio (φ ≈ 1.618) is applied automatically.
Note: Only positive numbers are accepted. If you enter zero or a negative value, an error will be shown. No specific units (metric/imperial) are required—just use any consistent number.
