How to use this tool?
This calculator computes the duration between a start and end time, displaying the result in hours and minutes.
- Enter Start Time: Use the Start Time field to set the beginning time (default: 09:00).
- Enter End Time: Use the End Time field to set the ending time (default: 17:00).
- Set Overnight (if needed): Check Overnight (end next day) if the end time occurs on the following day (e.g., start at 22:00, end at 06:00).
- Calculate: Click Calculate Hours to compute the difference. The result shows hours and minutes (e.g., "8h 0m") and the total in decimal hours.
- Automatic Recalculation: Changing any input automatically recalculates if a result is already displayed.
Note: Times must be in 24-hour format (HH:MM). If the end time is earlier than the start time without the overnight checkbox, an error appears.
