How to use this tool?
This calculator computes the exact duration between two dates and times, breaking it down into years, months, days, hours, minutes, and seconds.
- Set Start Date: Click the Start Date field and choose your beginning date and time using the calendar and clock picker.
- Set End Date: Click the End Date field and choose your ending date and time. The end date must be later than the start date.
- Calculate: Press the Calculate Duration button.
- Read Results: The duration appears in six boxes: Years, Months, Days, Hours, Minutes, and Seconds. All values are whole numbers (no decimals).
Important: Both dates are required and must be valid. If you see an error, check that the end date is after the start date. The calculation uses a simplified month length (30 days) and year length (365 days) for clarity.
