How to use this tool?
This calculator estimates a child’s height percentile based on CDC growth chart data for ages 2–20.
- Enter Age – Input the child’s age in years (e.g., 8.5 for 8 years 6 months). Must be between 2 and 20.
- Select Gender – Choose Male or Female.
- Enter Height – Input height in centimeters (cm). Must be between 50 and 250 cm.
- Click “Calculate Percentile” – The result shows the percentile (e.g., 75.3%) and an interpretation (Very short, Short, Average, Tall, Very tall).
Note: All measurements must be in metric (cm). The calculator uses the LMS method with CDC reference data. If the exact age is not in the dataset, the nearest integer age is used.
