We use the Devine formula: for men, 50 kg + 2.3 kg per inch over 5 feet; for women, 45.5 kg + 2.3 kg per inch over 5 feet. This gives an approximate ideal weight.
Age is included for context, as weight recommendations may vary with age. However, the BMI and Devine formulas do not use age.
