How to Use the GPA Calculator UF
This tool calculates your University of Florida GPA using standard grade points. Follow these steps:
- Add Courses: Click Add Course for each class. Remove a course with the trash icon (at least one course must remain).
- Select Grade: Choose your letter grade from the dropdown. By default, only whole-letter grades (A, B, C, D, F) are shown.
- Enable +/- Grading (optional): Toggle the switch Use +/- Grading to include grades like A-, B+, etc. The dropdown updates automatically.
- Enter Credits: Type the credit hours for each course (e.g., 3, 4, or 1.5). Use non-negative numbers; decimals are allowed.
- Calculate: Click Calculate GPA. Your GPA (on a 4.0 scale) appears along with total quality points and credits.
- Clear All: Use Clear All to reset to a single default course.
Note: Grade points follow UF standards: A=4.0, A-=3.67, B+=3.33, B=3.0, etc. Credits must be valid numbers—errors show a warning.
