How to Use the Purdue GPA Calculator
This tool calculates your GPA using the Purdue 4.0 scale. Follow these steps:
- Add Courses: For each course, enter an optional name, the number of credits (e.g., 3), and select a grade from the dropdown (A+ through F).
- Optional: Include Current GPA – If you have prior coursework, enter your Current GPA and Total Credits Attempted so far. Both fields must be filled or both left empty.
- Calculate: Click the Calculate GPA button. The result shows your overall GPA, total quality points, and total credits.
- Modify Rows: Use the Add Course button to add more courses, or the trash icon to remove a row (at least one course is required).
Formula: GPA = Total Quality Points ÷ Total Credits. Each quality point = grade points × credits.
