How to Use the eBay Commission Calculator
- Enter Selling Price ($): The price you sell the item for (required). Must be a positive number.
- Enter Cost Price ($): What you paid for the item (optional, defaults to $0 if left blank).
- Enter Shipping Cost ($): The shipping fee you charge or pay (optional, defaults to $0 if left blank).
- Select Category: Choose the eBay category that matches your item. Rates: Most Categories (15%), Books/DVDs/Music (10%), or Clothing & Accessories (12%).
- Click "Calculate": The calculator will display:
- Final Value Fee: Selling Price × Category Rate.
- PayPal Fee: (Selling Price + Shipping) × 2.9% + $0.30.
- Total Fees: Sum of both fees.
- Net Profit: Selling Price − Cost Price − Shipping − Total Fees.
- Review Results: All values are in US dollars ($). A negative net profit means a loss.
