How to Use the Creatinine Clearance Calculator
This calculator estimates your creatinine clearance (CrCl) using the Cockcroft-Gault formula. It requires metric units only.
- Enter your age (18–120 years) in the "Age" field.
- Enter your weight in kilograms (1–300 kg) in the "Weight" field.
- Enter your serum creatinine in mg/dL (0.1–20) in the "Serum Creatinine" field.
- Select your gender — choose "Male" or "Female".
- Click "Calculate CrCl" to get your result in mL/min.
Note: All inputs are required. If any value is out of range or missing, the field will highlight in red. The result appears below with the formula used.

Frequently Asked Questions
Creatinine clearance (CrCl) is a measure of how well the kidneys filter creatinine from the blood. It is used to estimate glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and assess kidney function.
The formula is: CrCl (mL/min) = ((140 - age) * weight) / (72 * serum creatinine) * (0.85 if female). It requires age in years, weight in kg, and serum creatinine in mg/dL.
Normal values vary by age and gender. Generally, for young adult males: 97-137 mL/min, females: 88-128 mL/min. Values decline with age.
