How to use this tool?
This calculator converts text to ASCII decimal codes and vice versa. It only supports standard ASCII characters (codes 0–127).
How to Use
- Text to ASCII: Type or paste text into the Text Input box. The calculator automatically shows the character count and byte size (UTF-8).
- ASCII to Text: Enter decimal ASCII codes separated by spaces (e.g.,
72 101 108 108 111) in the ASCII Codes box. The min and max codes update automatically. - Calculate: Click the Calculate button. Results appear below:
- Text to ASCII: Shows the space-separated decimal codes for your input text.
- ASCII to Text: Shows the decoded text from your entered codes.
- Errors: If you enter a non-ASCII character (code > 127) or an invalid code (not 0–127), the calculator highlights the error and stops.
Note: Both fields can be filled simultaneously—the calculator processes both directions in one click.
