How to Use the AP US Gov Score Calculator
This tool estimates your AP score (1–5) using the 2024 exam weighting: 50% Multiple-Choice (MCQ) and 50% Free-Response (FRQ). Follow these steps:
- Enter your Multiple-Choice raw score (0–55) in the first field.
- Enter each FRQ raw score (0–4) in the four fields labeled FRQ #1 through FRQ #4. You can use decimals (e.g., 2.5).
- Click "Calculate Score" to see your estimated AP score and a detailed breakdown.
Important: All inputs must be within the specified ranges. The calculator automatically converts raw scores to weighted percentages and maps the composite to a 1–5 scale. A green result indicates a high score (4 or 5), yellow is a 3, and red is a 1 or 2.
