How to Use the AP Chem Score Calculator
This tool estimates your AP Chemistry exam score (1-5) based on your multiple-choice and free-response performance.
- Enter Multiple Choice Scores: Input the number of correct (0-60) and wrong (0-60) answers. The sum of correct and wrong cannot exceed 60.
- Enter Free-Response Scores: For each of the 6 FRQs, enter a score from 0 to 10 (decimals allowed).
- Click "Calculate Score": The calculator will validate your inputs and show your predicted AP score (1-5) along with a composite breakdown.
Note: The composite score is calculated as: MC Score = correct - (wrong × 0.25) + FRQ Total. The AP score is then determined by these cutoffs: 5 (≥100), 4 (≥80), 3 (≥60), 2 (≥40), 1 (<40).
