The composite score is calculated by adding the multiple-choice raw score (number correct × 1.2) and the free-response points. Then the composite is mapped to an AP score (1-5) using approximate cutoffs.
The BC subscore reflects performance on the AB portion of the BC exam. It is calculated similarly using the multiple-choice score and the AB component of the free-response.
No, since 2011, the AP Calculus exams do not deduct points for incorrect answers. Only correct multiple-choice answers count.
