How to use this tool?
This calculator estimates your AP Literature score based on your multiple-choice and essay performance.
- Enter Multiple Choice Results: Input the number of correct answers (out of 55) and the number of wrong answers (out of 55). The calculator applies a 0.25-point penalty for each wrong answer.
- Enter Essay Scores: For each of the three essays, enter a score from 0 to 6 (you can use half-point increments, e.g., 4.5).
- Calculate: Click the "Calculate Score" button. The calculator will compute a composite score using weighted formulas and display your predicted AP score (1–5) with a description.
- Review Results: The result shows your predicted AP score, a qualification description, and a breakdown of your multiple-choice raw score, essay total, and composite score.
Note: All inputs are required. Ensure the sum of multiple-choice correct and wrong does not exceed 55. The calculator uses standard AP scoring weights for estimation.
