Preguntas Frecuentes
Total Air Temperature (TAS) is the temperature of the air including the heating effect caused by the aircraft's speed. It is higher than Static Air Temperature (SAT) due to adiabatic compression and friction.
TAS is calculated using the formula: TAS = SAT * (1 + 0.2 * M^2), where SAT is the static air temperature in Kelvin and M is the Mach number.
The calculator uses Kelvin for temperature. Mach number is dimensionless. The result is in Kelvin.
