How to use this tool?
Follow these steps to estimate the alcohol needed for your wedding:
- Enter the number of guests – total attendees (must be at least 1).
- Set the event duration – in hours (between 1 and 12, use decimals like 4.5 for 4 hours 30 min).
- Adjust drinker percentages – specify what percentage of guests drink beer, wine, and liquor. The sum of all three plus non-drinkers must equal 100%.
- Set servings per hour per guest – default is 2; adjust between 0.5 and 4 based on your crowd.
- Enter the non-drinker percentage – guests who won’t drink alcohol (default 10%).
- Click “Calculate” – the tool shows total servings and a breakdown in practical units:
- Beer: 12 oz bottles/cans
- Wine: 750ml bottles (5 oz glasses)
- Liquor: 750ml bottles (1.5 oz shots)
Tip: All percentages must add up to exactly 100%. If you get an error, adjust the values until the total is correct.
