How to Use the BA II Plus Financial Calculator
- Enter values for any four of the five fields: Present Value (PV), Future Value (FV), Interest Rate per Period (I/Y), Number of Periods (N), and Payment (PMT). The calculator will compute the missing Future Value.
- Select Payment Type: Choose "End" for ordinary annuity (payments at end of period) or "Begin" for annuity due (payments at start).
- Click Calculate – the Future Value appears in the result box along with the formula used.
- Note: Interest rate (I/Y) must be entered as a percentage (e.g., 5 for 5%). All fields require numeric values; zero is allowed for PV, FV, or PMT but not for I/Y or N.
Example: To find the future value of $1,000 invested at 5% per year for 10 years with no payments, enter PV=1000, I/Y=5, N=10, PMT=0, Payment Type=End, then click Calculate. Result: $1,628.89.
