How to use this tool?
This calculator computes the missing variable (speed, distance, or time) when you provide exactly two values. Follow these steps:
- Enter two values – Fill in any two of the three fields: Distance, Time, or Speed. Leave the third field empty.
- Select units – Choose the appropriate unit for each value from the dropdown menus (e.g., meters, kilometers, miles for distance; seconds, minutes, hours for time; m/s, km/h, mph for speed).
- Click "Calculate" – The calculator will automatically compute the missing value and display the result.
- Read the result – The output shows the calculated value with its unit and a formula explanation below.
Important notes:
- All inputs must be positive numbers (zero is allowed only for the missing field).
- You must fill exactly two fields; entering one or three will show an error.
- Time cannot be zero when calculating speed; speed cannot be zero when calculating time.
- Units are flexible – mix metric and imperial freely (e.g., distance in miles, speed in km/h).
