A reverse percentage calculates the original value before a percentage increase or decrease was applied, given the final value and the percentage.
Divide the final value by (1 + percentage/100). For example, if the final value is 120 after a 20% increase, original = 120 / 1.2 = 100.
Percentage change = ((New Value - Original Value) / Original Value) * 100. A positive result indicates an increase, negative indicates a decrease.
