How to Use the PPM Calculator

This calculator determines the concentration of a solution in parts per million (ppm) using the formula:

ppm = mass of solute (mg) ÷ volume of solution (L)

  1. Enter the mass of the solute in milligrams (mg) into the "Mass of Solute" field.
  2. Enter the volume of the solution in liters (L) into the "Volume of Solution" field.
  3. Click the "Calculate PPM" button.
  4. The result will display the concentration in ppm, along with the formula used.

Note: Both values must be positive numbers. Use metric units only (mg and L). If an invalid entry is made, an error message will appear.
